This website is aimed at businesses in specialist sports retail. We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary for operating the website, handling your requests and our business relationship. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
2. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger processes the data as a processor on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
When the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser and operating system) in log files. This serves to provide the website securely and reliably and to defend against attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host stores the logs only for as long as is necessary for this purpose.
3. Cookies
We use only one technically necessary session cookie (“rs_sess”). It ensures that forms are transmitted securely and that you remain logged in to the dealer area, and it is deleted when you close your browser. No consent is required for technically necessary cookies (Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act, TKG 2021). We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.
4. Usage statistics
To see which pages and documents are used, our own server counts page views, downloads, dealer area logins and submitted forms. Only daily totals are stored (e.g. page accessed, type of referral such as “search engine”, device type PC/mobile/tablet and language version). No cookies are set, no IP addresses are stored and no profiles are created for this purpose; it is not possible to draw conclusions about individual persons or dealers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The counts are deleted after 24 months. No third-party analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics) are used.
5. Fonts, calendar and external links
All fonts and images are loaded from our own server; no content is loaded from Google or other third-party providers. Our server loads the season calendar in the dealer area from our own Microsoft Outlook calendar; no visitor data is transmitted in the process.
Links to the B2B shops, brand websites and YouTube lead to external providers. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click on such a link; the respective provider is responsible for its own data processing.
6. Forms and email
Information from our forms (e.g. Become a dealer, Deuter Individual, claims and requests in the dealer area), including uploaded photos, is sent by email to office@redlersports.at or to the responsible sales representative. We process it to handle your request and to initiate or perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and within the scope of our business relationship (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). On request, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
To send and manage our emails, we use Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Under the “EU Data Boundary”, Microsoft generally stores and processes the data within the EU. Where data is transferred to the USA in individual cases, this is done on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR) or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
Form contents are not stored on the website. To monitor delivery, the website logs only the time, recipient address and subject of each email sent; these entries are automatically deleted after 90 days.
7. Claims via WhatsApp
If you contact us via WhatsApp, your phone number, your profile name and the messages and photos you send are transmitted via the WhatsApp service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. WhatsApp may also transfer data to third countries, in particular the USA. We use this information exclusively to process your claim (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Use is voluntary; alternatively, you can reach us by email, phone or via the claim form.
8. Dealer area
The dealer area is protected by a shared password that we provide to our trading partners. No personal user accounts are created. To protect against misuse, failed login attempts are stored together with the IP address for 15 minutes and then automatically deleted (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. Recipients
Within our company, the recipients of your data are the responsible staff in inside sales and field sales, as well as our processors Hostinger (hosting) and Microsoft (email). Data is only passed on to other third parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract or if we are legally obliged to do so.
10. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. We retain business correspondence for the duration of the business relationship and beyond in accordance with the statutory retention periods (in particular 7 years under Section 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, BAO, and Section 212 of the Austrian Commercial Code, UGB). Requests that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted once they have been dealt with and no further claims are to be expected.
11. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, please contact office@redlersports.at.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde): Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, www.dsb.gv.at.
